This seems unfair I mean why not just give a warning at least or like Liu said give some users the admin jobs or something that is similar to that. Also a 2 week ban is very harsh just for putting something they thought is right. A day will suffice much better than 2 weeks or the least a few hours. 2 weeks is way over the line. I understand it why you work very hard ,but this also a place of fun not just for information. I get when people refuse to listen to you when you how it's supposed to be ,but this wiki isn't yours exactly. I know that your friend founded this and you have done a very good job at this ,but is it really necessary to put a 2 week ban just because someone did not source it right.

I agree that two weeks is a bit much, so I'll lower it to one week. To answer a few replies:

I agree, but the problem is that there are no good candidates to pick. While I do have two users in mind, neither of them edit very frequently, and they both seem to be very involved with other wikis, and may not have time.

Depends on what it is. If it's in a book or something that many users might not be aware of, then yes, sourcing is required. However, you no longer need to source information directly from Cars 3, as most of us have seen it and can easily know whether or not something is true.

Thing is, that's not making anything better. That's directly getting in the way of the wiki's goal to provide accurate and authentic information. The reason I instated this in the first place is because so many people have been doing this. I'm sick of leaving a thousand reminders that will just get ignored because people trust some kid on Wikipedia over those of us who base our information off official material.

If you're wondering where I was these past few days, I didn't have time to edit because of the holidays. I apologize for inactivity.

But I sincerely think that you should give a reminder before banning someone from this wiki especially when we have new users,it shall give a negative image of this wiki!In addition to this,I think a 3 to 5 days ban is more acceptable.

Thanks for your reply.However,I think that almost everyone can become a good admin if you want him to and give him a chance.If you never trust anyone,our wiki won't change.To deal with it,you can set up a vote for candidates,which helps you to choose someone trustable.

Honestly, I've been considering English fluency as the most important trait. Unfortunately, there are very few users here who use correct English grammar and spelling consistently. I appreciate everyone's eagerness but we choose our admins very carefully.

You're right.But many users here are native speakers,they gotta know the grammar exactly. There are lots of American users so it's not very difficult for them to speak standard English.Just try,please.

First-offf Rod you choose the new admins so basically you don't trust us to be admins when we have done nothing ,but to help this wiki grow as you once said and I'm deeply disappointed at how it is right now. Secondly, Have we really been that bad as community for you to say that you only trust two users,who aren't even active here and that you put a one week ban. Thirdly, New users here won't get it here they will be banned by your policy. They might start leaving this wiki. You need new admins because most of the admins here or at least like 3 are not active on here anymore.

To everyone here: This policy is no longer in effect. I recently learned that you can protect article names that don't yet exist, effectively preventing articles from be created under a specific title. If someone creates a fan-made character page, I can just delete it and block the page from being re-created.
