The sound of wind chimes rings, Strip Weathers sits on the hill feeling the wind blowing his bodywork, next to his wife Lynda Weathers, and happily comments about Lightning McQueen having a good heart. However, the wind blowing in the sky carries Strip Weathers and his wife Lynda. A Letter, Strip Weathers reads the letter that the wind brought It is from the parents of . Lightning McQueen, he sighs when he reads the Letter, but then sees the photo of Lightning McQueen's parents. Later, we discover that Lightning McQueen's parents are Rose McQueen and Nathan McQueen, two Tourists.

Part 2 of the Scene, Nathan McQueen sweeps the Leaves.

Rose laughs and comments that the situation “couldn’t be more perfect.” She starts talking to her husband Nathan, which confuses Mario Andretti, and Patty explains that Lightning McQueen is in Radiator Springs. This makes Rose soft and softly tells her husband Nathan, stating that Rose McQueen and her husband Nathan are a soft family. Lightning McQueen is her beloved son. Mario Andretti tells Rose how she loves him, because Lightning is the love of her life, but Rose says what she loves is her husband too.

Nathan McQueen: In my day, I was a Piston Cup racer, but when Rose McQueen became my wife, I retired from racing after 2 Piston Cups.

Rose McQueen: Watch the great journey to Radiator Springs, my husband Nathan. So green, so inviting. Our son Lighty is there. He is the love of our lives. We are coming, our beloved son, his parents will see you.

[The screen then shows an aerial view of the circuit, before returning to the ground to show Alpha numbers are then shown driving along the track, forming the words "Piston Cup" as the crowd cheers. Next, Barney Stormin is then shown completing his skywriting of "McQueen Is Back", and then hears Marco, Stu Bop, and another jet coming towards him. ]

[The speakers screamed and came to life.]

Bob Cutlass: (Shouting Excitedly) "Racers! Start your engines!"

[Everyone in position revved their engines, Lightning McQueen revved the engine as high as he could. Then he closed his eyes for a moment.]

Lightning McQueen: (Whispering Underly) "Speed. I. am. Speed"

[Lightning has reopened his eyes, completely.]

[McQueen still doesn't feel completely confident, but recovers when he hears his parents cheering for him.]

Lightning McQueen turned around and saw Cruz sitting on the bed, her brown eyes shining.

Lightning McQueen: Ah Cruz, you're there.

He spoke politely. She watched him, small smile before a soft smile.

Lightning McQueen: I, I was waiting for you Mr McQueen.

She stretched a little.

Cruz Ramirez: You can come closer to me, I don't grumble.

Lightning hesitated and then moved closer.

Lightning McQueen: Cruz Ramirez, about yesterday... why did you sleep next to me.
