- —Albert Hinkey, Cars

History[]
Cars[]
Albert Hinkey cheers for Lightning McQueen after he successfully weaves through a multi-car wreck.
In Cars, Albert is seen parking in the middle of the Motor Speedway of the South, among other caravans. He shouts encouraging words to McQueen after he makes it through the big wreck caused by Chick Hicks, and honks his horn loudly, much to the annoyance of the other caravans and a tiny blue car next to him. Later, he appears next to Larry and R.M. attending the race at the Los Angeles International Speedway, where he is amazed when he and the rest of the crowd notice Doc Hudson. He continued cheering on McQueen when he tries to take the lead from Weathers and Hicks. When McQueen willingly sacrifices his chance for a win in order to help Strip Weathers finish his last race, Albert cries in emotion upon witnessing McQueen’s sportsmanship.
Cars 3[]
Albert appears in Cars 3 during the opening race sequence, once again at the Motor Speedway of the South, in which he weaves through the infield crowd in an attempt to get a better view of the track, while cheering on McQueen.
Personality[]
Albert Hinkey is an ecstatic, loudmouthed, and excited fan who always loves watching Lightning McQueen race. He seems to be one of McQueen's number one biggest fans, next to Mia and Tia. However, he easily could annoy others when he honks his horn to the other spectators. Despite trying to cheer on his hero wanting to win a race, he does show the value of compassion, sportsmanship, and friendship when he cries tears of joy when his idol gives up the chance to win a Piston Cup by helping The King finish his last race, proving that he realizes the real meaning behind the sport more than just winning.

Trivia[]
- Despite being called "Big Al" on his diecast packaging, he and the real Big Al are completely different characters.
- Probably because Albert is big, and "Al" is short for Albert.
- Albert is one of the few characters to have a visible nose, Red, Colin Cowling, Frank and Al Oft being the others. Coincidentally, Oft's first name is Al too.
- When Albert was first released in the Mattel Disney Pixar Cars line, his die-cast was only made available at a charity auction. It was later re-released at the 2015 D23 Expo in Anaheim, California with only 1,000 units produced, making him one of the most difficult die-casts to collect. Coincidentally, Matthew Overtaker/Mac iCar has the same identical number of units too as well.
- Albert Hinkey is one of the only fans to sob in emotion when he witnesses McQueen help Strip Weathers instead of win. Although it’s more of that he was just overjoyed to see McQueen do the right thing and wasn’t disappointed that he chose to sacrifice his victory to help Weathers.
- In alternate languages, the banners on his side say "I ♥ 95".
- His name is similar to a British actor Albert Finney.
