• The fictional Alza Tutto Forklift and Heebie-Jeebie Buggy, Inc. Cycoupe were inspired by the design of the real-life 1959 BMW Isetta.
• There were plans for a green BMW race fan and a tan cameraman to be released as die-casts but were cancelled in 2016.
• The BMW 2002 Turbo's design is similar to Holy Motors Vatican 7000 Pope Pinion IV.
• The fictional Revere Motors Model AG is based on the real-life BMW 2000CS.
