Carl

Carl was the top racer at the Fast Track Race Academy. He raced, studied, and strategized with Lightning McQueen.

History[]

Only the top five racers in the academy got a sponsorship deal, so Carl and Lightning planned and plotted how to get those spots. Carl loved the sport just as much as Lightning.

His name likely originates from a conceptualized character in early production of the film, Monte-Carl.
Coincidentally, Carl's color and model are identical to Carl Clutchen's, albeit without a grill and different shapes and sizes for brake ducts and headlight stickers.
