Avatar customization[]
Users could customize their car avatar from two options: 'Speed' or 'Espionage'. The avatar's appearance differed based on the selection, resembling the design from “The World of Cars Online,” albeit in 2D. Players had a wide array of cosmetic elements to choose from, including tires, spoilers, Piston Cup and WGP decals, paint schemes, and TROC elements like the silver paint scheme. For 'Speed' avatars, a racing number could be chosen. Luigi provided tips during the customization process, serving as a character design and tutorial assistant.

Players could select from various tracks to race on, including locations such as Italy (Porto Corsa and Uncle Topolino village), Japan (Tokyo Track and Airport), Paris, Iceland, Spain, Germany, and England.

Players had the opportunity to view avatars created by other players and vote for their favorites. They could assign ratings ranging from one star (minimum) to five stars (maximum) to express their preferences.

Between October 3, 2011, and October 23, 2011, users could customize a car and participate in a competition. The drawing took place on October 26, 2011, in Milan, with all valid participants eligible, regardless of the number of votes received for their customized car. Participants could enter the draw once or twice, depending on whether they customized one or two cars (choosing the "Race" and "Spy" modes).
Closure[]
The game lasted for approximately seven years, from 2011 to 2018. However, it was mostly available until 2017 coinciding with the launch of the new Cars 3 website.
