Trivia[]

  • Its real-life counterpart is the former competition team founded by Dale Earnhardt and his wife Teresa Earnhardt.
  • The sponsor's logo displayed on Dale's bodywork replaces the Budweiser logo formerly displayed on the real Dale Earnhardt's racing cars. It was likely changed to avoid alcohol references and copyrighting.
  • The company never saw a later diecast release of Dale since the early 2010s, nor any other team member of his sponsor was ever released. This is most likely due to copyright issues with the real-life company.
  • In the 15th December 2005 workprint of Cars, Shifty Drug was used as a stand in for the Dale Earnhardt Inc., this was done in case the filmmakers could not get Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the project and secure licensing for him and his company.[1]
  • Dale Earnhardt Inc., Hostile Takeover Bank, Shifty Drug, Fiber Fuel, Sidewall Shine, Retread, Tach-O-Mint are the only sponsors absent from Cars 3.
    • But Hostile Takeover Bank, Shifty Drug, Fiber Fuel, Sidewall Shine, Retread later After hired NASCAR Next-Gen Racers of 1: 55 Diecast, them never appeared in animated movies.
    • Although Hostile Takeover Bank racer Chick Hicks himself appeared in Cars 3, after he retired and became a commentator for RSN, he used his name and RSN replaced all the company's logos on his body.
    • Dale Earnhardt Inc. may have real-life copyright issues with the company or he may be the successor owner of the company, which may no longer be active in racing world after Dale Earnhardt Jr. retires.
    • Tach-O-Mint may have closed or no longer sponsoring racers after Greg Candyman or Guenther retired.
