Dan Haulin' served as the hauler for the Sputter Stop racing team. It was his job to transport Piston Cup racer Murray Clutchburn to and from events.

- Much like several other haulers in the first Cars film, Dan's trailer is the only part of him that appears in the movie. The design of Dan's cab has only been shown on his 1:55 Scale Diecast release.
- Dan is named after Pixar music recordist and mixer, Dan Wallin.
- His license plate reads "501-NS".
- He and Lee Revkins' hauler CB Same, although they both launched diecasts, they only launched semi diecasts and did not launch their trailers.
- The same thing happens with Sage VanDerSpin's hauler Dale Roofolo and Ernie Gearson's hauler Xavier Roadault.
- It is possible that he and the Cars 3 hauler are the same character.
