LEGO Pixar: Bricktoons

In "Trust Yer Ol' Pal, Mater", he was at the 400 Invitations sponsored by Vitoline, being only a few points behind McQueen from winning the championship. He appears with Flip Dover, trash-talking, mocking and laughing to McQueen in the race, he spent the majority of the race in first place and proclaimed the cup is as good as his. On the final lap, Flip attempts to overtake Hollis, in turn, H.J pushes Flip into the wall, causing both to spin out and crash, leading to a massive pileup with all the other drivers. After McQueen makes it through the wreckage by making his jump similar to the first Cars film, Hollis manages to break free of the wreckage, in one final attempt to beat Mcqueen, but despite his best efforts, Lightning wins the race and gives a lesson to Hollis.

Trivia

  • H.J. Hollis is the second background Piston Cup racer to evolve to a major speaking role in the Cars franchise, the first being Todd Marcus.
  • Hollis in in LEGO Pixar: Bricktoons is loosely similar to Chick Hicks; both were shown to be rocky and were willing to win the race so badly and lose their temper when failing to do so, caused a huge crash, and are both race cars with green paint jobs. Coincidently, Hollis' number 68 actually has the numbers with their sides switched from Chick's signature number 86.
