"Mack?! I ain't no Mack! I'm a Peterbilt, for dang sake! Turn on your lights, you moron!"
Jerry's only physical line, Cars

Jerry Recycled Batteries, also known as simply his manufacturer name, Peterbilt, is a hauler that works as a transporter for Recycled Batteries.

History[]

Cars[]

In Cars, when Lightning McQueen wakes up in the middle of the highway after falling out of Mack's trailer, Lightning attempts to find Mack, and notices a truck turning on one of the exits. Lightning, mistakenly thinking he is Mack, starts rushing after the truck, only to discover that it is actually Jerry. The Peterbilt complains to Lightning for mistaking him for a Mack, and grumpily drives off.

Tough Guys In Action[]

Jerry has at least a couple more speaking lines and goes through a bit more of character development in the comic Tough Guys In Action, Jerry gets a flat tire after the Delinquent Road Hazards prowled him on the highway. As punishment, they have to tow Jerry to the service station and claims that they're going to learn a "tough lesson".

Trivia[]

  • Jerry is Joe Ranft's final speaking part for Pixar before his death, since Red did not have any dialogue in the film except for the cries/sobs.
  • The designs on his trailer were designed by John Lasseter's son.
  • In the Lost deleted scene, he is more based on a Chevrolet Advance Design 3800/GMC New Design 300 (or even heavier series) chassis cab (which would have a pickup-style cabin). Also, it was originally Jerry's Junk compared to the final film's Recycled Batteries.
  • In the German dub, he speaks with a female voice and he is named Priscilla.
  • In Heavy Metal Mater, there is a truck who is based on the same real-life vehicle as him; it is possible that it could be one of his relatives.
  • Jerry speaks with a Texan accent, reflecting the origin of his assembly in Denton, Texas.
  • If you had not noticed, Jerry even has a twisted or bent side mirror (right). He is the only hauler (and possibly character overall) with such.
