The Jolly Wrenches are a US Navy Fighter Squadron based on the USS Flysenhower. They are a parody of the Jolly Rogers.
As indicated by the Wall of Fame, four squadrons have had the name: VF-17, VF-84, VF-86, and the current one, VF-103.

Missions[]
Glendal Canal was the only known mission undertaken by Skipper. It started out as a typical patrol and recon mission until a member of the Squadron sighted what he thought was one enemy ship. Skipper was unable to resist his nagging and everyone descends to engage. However, they soon realize a large amount of enemy ships are present. As it was too late to pull up, they were promptly shot down by concentrated AA fire. Skipper was the only survivor, and while Dwight D. Flysenhower hauled him out, he vowed to never take flight again.
Skipper did retell a number of miscellaneous missions to Dusty. While he was not involved, he may have been in touch with other aircraft based on Dwight D. Flysenhower.
Trivia[]
- In Russian edition, the Jolly Wrenches are named 'Flying Tire Irons'. It is believed that drivers use tire irons to fight with car thieves.
