- The Piston Cup racers featured in Cars: The Video Game were based on Aiken Axler's design and reskinned accordingly to their respective sponsors. This was featured in a YouTube video showcased by THQ game designer, Jeff Garstecki[1]
- In Cars: Race-O-Rama, the Lux Motors Co. Piston Cup V8 model was copied by MotorCo in-order to create the robotic VIN racers.
- The "Lux" part of the name come may be a reference to the Pixar short/character Luxo, Jr.
- In the 1:55 Scale Diecast range, Aiken Axler's model is reused for several other characters.
