Ferrari F430, Cars

Ferrari F430, credited as Michael Schumacher Ferrari in his debut appearance in Cars, is a famous European race car with over 90 wins and seven championship titles to his name. He is a 2005 Ferrari F430 that is painted red, with chrome rims and the small yellow Ferrari logo on his hood.

He is voiced by and based on the real seven time world championship racer Michael Schumacher.

History[]

Cars[]

Michael appears during the epilogue of Cars, in which he is seen coming into Luigi's shop for tires, at the recommendation of Lightning McQueen. However, his appearance and his ability to speak Italian make Luigi and Guido faint in excitement. He is accompanied by a pair of Maseratis named Costanzo Della Corsa and Antonio Veloce Eccellente. He also appears at the Grand Re-opening of the Wheel Well Motel.

Five red Ferraris appearing simultaneously in Cars 2

Many red Ferrari F430s similar to Michael Schumacher appear in Cars 2. However, it is unknown if any of them is Michael Schumacher himself, as many of these Ferraris lack the signature emblems. Interestingly, according to a behind the scenes vehicle chart, the "Cars 1 - Ferrari F430" is cited as a background character at London in Cars 2.[1]

Furthermore, Michael Schumacher Ferrari's artwork was also seen in an early development screenshot of Cars 2: The Video Game, including a blue variation, as part of the character select garage.[2]
