Miguel is a Brazilian racer competing in the Wings Around the Globe. His design is a combination of an Extra EA-300's fuselage, a Zivko Edge 540 V3's wings, and a Cessna 402's vertical stabilizer. He is painted white and green with Brazil's flag and Portuguese name. His racing number is #16.

History[]

Planes[]

In Planes, Miguel first appears at the Wings Around the Globe pit row. While there, he asks if El Chupacabra's name is the monster that "siphons fuel from small vehicles" (the car equivalent of the legendary monster sucking blood from small animals). El Chu then answers that it is just a stage name designed to strike fear into the hearts of his opponents. Miguel is then seen in many shots of the racers throughout the movie. He gives Dusty a starter generator when he got damaged during a storm over the Pacific Ocean.

Planes: Fire and Rescue[]

In Planes: Fire & Rescue, Miguel is seen racing with Dusty Crophopper, Little King, Gunnar Viking, Tsubasa, LJH 86 Special and Sun Wing.

Bio[]

  • Having started as an acrobatic flyer in the "Esquadrilha da Nevoeiro" - the Fog Squadron - Miguel knows how to carve a line through crowded airspace. But he doesn't just have moves - he has endurance, thanks to a lifetime of samba-ing the night away in his hometown of Rio, Brazil. And yet, no matter how much he burns the midnight oil, he's still raring to go when race time rolls around.[1]
