Mika Häkkinen was a retired Finnish race car, who appears in the German version of Cars. He is a former Piston Cup Racing Series racer, and has won the Formula One World Championship two times.

In the German version of Cars, Mika Häkkinen attends the tiebreaker race in California. He is greeting the security guards when Fred, a rusty car with his name printed on his license plate, rolls up and greets Mika. Mika replies, "Und guten morgen, Fred." Fred then happily takes this as the fact that Mika Häkkinen knows his name, and excitedly informs Marco Axelbender of it.

Physical description[]
Despite the real Mika Häkkinen actually being a Formula One race car driver, in the Cars universe he is portrayed as a 1967 Ford Fairlane, just like Mario Andretti. He has a blue and off-white paint scheme, with a grey front bumper and grille. He has black rims, and the number "1" painted in white on his doors with black lining.

- He is based on, named after and voiced by Mika Häkkinen himself, a retired Formula One driver.
- He replaces Mario Andretti's role in the German version of Cars.
- His paintjob was also affected during this change. Despite this, his model was not changed.
