Nick Cartone is a 2009 Honda Civic (FN) hatchback (even though Nick's home is in Japan, where Nick's model of Civic wasn't sold, except for the Type R as the Type R Euro). His number plate reads "東京-122 み 02-28". He is painted a bright blue color, with orange tail lights and a gray grille.

He is named after Pixar employee, Nick Bartone.
Despite Nick's name being a boy's name, in the movie, Nick has a female voice. It's possible that Nick could be female, Nick's name could be short for the girl's name, Nicky.
