The Pacific Ocean is a location that appears in Cars 2 and Planes. It is the largest ocean in the world. This ocean is the lying that bathes the west coast of the USA (also in Los Angeles). It is the ocean that the lemons' oil rig is in.

History[]

In Cars 2, Finn McMissile goes to the biggest oilfield in the world, owned by oil tycoon Miles Axlerod. Later, Lightning McQueen, Mater, Fillmore, Sarge, Luigi, and Guido take a plane over the Pacific Ocean from Radiator Springs, USA to Tokyo, Japan. It is also seen during the credits, while McQueen and Mater visit Hawaii.

In Planes, the Wings Around the Globe racers soar over the Pacific Ocean for the penultimate leg from Shanghai, China to Mexico City, Mexico, with the requirement of a GPS and refuelling in Hawaii. It is at this point when Ned and Zed break off Dusty Crophopper's antenna in order to stop him from beating Ripslinger. When he runs low on fuel while getting lost on his way to Hawaii, Bravo and Echo guide him back to the Dwight D. Flysenhower to get refuelled in time before a storm hits the Pacific Ocean. However, because he eventually learnt that his coach Skipper Riley had only flown one mission with the Jolly Wrenches, he forgets to fly above the storm and crashes into the Pacific Ocean, but not before reporting through his radio for help. Soon, Hector Vector and a rescue diver rescue him from underwater and transport him to Mexico.

Trivia[]

  • The name "Pacific Ocean" may suggest that this ocean is calm. But in reality, it is the most agitated ocean in the world.
