Discord is an instant-messaging app that allows for easy chatting, in different communities called "servers". As of September 2023, we have launched an official Pixar Cars Wiki Discord server: Click here to join!
Rules
- Be respectful. Please keep discussion civil and avoid personally attacking another user.
- Set your wiki username. Please set your server display name to the same one you use on the wiki, or at least a nickname/close variant, so long as the connection can easily be made. This is so we can better keep track of who's who.
- No spamming. Please keep the chats free of nonsensical or disruptive messages, or contained to the
#spamchannel. - No NSFW content. This includes both the sharing and discussion of gore, pornography, or questionable links.
- No sharing personal info without consent. Avoid sharing identifying information, such as full names, phone numbers, IP addresses, photos, and sensitive personal topics, especially if it is not your own.
- No discrimination. Our server is a safe space for all human beings, regardless of their race, religion, gender, etc. Hate speech and bigotry are not tolerated here.
- Keep outside drama out. Don't bring personal disputes or other community drama into our server. Settle it privately or within the relevant community.
- No piracy. Don't share illegal links to Cars (or any) films, books, game ROMs, etc.
- No advertising. Sharing creations and videos is fine, but please do not overtly self-promote your channel, brand, or website. The same applies to any Discord servers other than our official partners.
- The wiki comes first. This server is meant to augment communication on the wiki, not as a substitute or replacement for it. When discussing edits and decisions, please make sure the proper info and/or discussion make it to the wiki. Expressions of proposal inputs made here do not count as votes.
Channels
- Exempting the wiki chats, channel topics exist as general guidelines for discussion and are not too stringently policed. However, please keep all non-wiki discussion within the general/Cars chats.
Staff
- All wiki staff members have moderator privileges in this server. Feel free to contact us if you need help!
Pings
- These pings are used to get the immediate attention of the staff. Please reserve use of them for urgent situations, like ongoing vandalism or escalating arguments/edit wars. General questions and issues should be posted in
#help.
