- Originally a dock worker from the industrial flats along the Cuyahoga River, Ronnie Rizzo always had a knack for mechanics and enhancing engine performance. Ronnie met Fonzarelli at a race and decided to pursue his dream of running an aerial racing pit crew.

- For unknown reasons, Ronnie has the number 5 on his side, even though Fonzarelli's number is 8. Fonzarelli's name is also spelled wrong as "Fonzerelli" on his side.
- Ronnie is also seen next to Yellowbird later in the movie, although Fonzarelli is nowhere to be seen.
