Star Wars is an American epic space opera multimedia franchise created by George Lucas, which began with the eponymous 1977 film and quickly became a worldwide pop-culture phenomenon.[1]
History[]
A Cars and Star Wars crossover merchandise collection was announced at the Star Wars Celebration VI event by Disney at a press panel. The collection released die-casts and pins of seven Cars characters reimagined as some of the main Star Wars characters at the Star Wars Weekends 2013, that later became available at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts. 2014 and 2015 saw the release of more characters.
Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition, the third Disney Infinity title, also serves as a crossover between multiple Disney series, with Star Wars and Cars as two of the participating franchises.
