The Great Manufacturer or the Manufacturer is, in religious beliefs, conceived of as the supreme being, creator deity, and principal object of faith. It is the equivalent of God in the Cars franchise. The concept of the Manufacturer stems from the religious belief that God created all life on Earth and the universe. As such, the Manufacturer has essentially "manufactured" all the vehicles, the Earth, all animals that reside on the planet, and the entire Cars universe.

Trivia[]

  • The Great Manufacturer is the equivalent to God in the Cars universe.
  • Mama Bernoulli and Mack both believe in the Great Manufacturer.
  • In the Brazilian version of Cars 2, Lightning McQueen says "Ai meu Fabricante!" (Oh my Manufacturer!) after seeing Mater's rockets for the first time.
  • The existence of the Great Manufacturer in this world, along with Pope Pinion IV (a Catholic character), and the mentioning of the term "Chrysler" (a real-life car of the same name) in the place of Christ implies Christianity exists in the Cars universe. In addition, Tractors are mentioned to be sacred in India, which is a reference to how in Hinduism, cows are sacred. The mentioning of World War II happening in this universe also implies the Holocaust happened, which indicates Judaism also exists in this world. The existence of other religions, such as Buddhism and Confucianism, remains to be seen.
  • In Cars 2, Mater mentions to Grem and Acer that his cousin Betsy got left at the altar while broken down. Altars are typically located at deeply religious churches, especially Christian ones.
