"He waxes himself...daily."
Windlifter, Planes: Fire & Rescue

Windlifter is the second-in-command of the Piston Peak Air Attack Team, an organization working to fight against wildfires.

Windlifter appears to be modeled after a Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane.

History[]

Windlifter is a heavy-lift helicopter who can hoist dozens of trees or a huge tank of fire retardant. The Native American’s wisdom is vast—he’s chock full of fire folklore, and his connection to nature allows him to sense fires before they’re even spotted. The former lumberjack became a firefighter to help others, and no mission is too big for Windlifter.

Planes: Fire & Rescue[]

In Planes: Fire & Rescue, Windlifter helps to put out all of the wildfires with the rest of the Air Attack team, though hesitant to do so at times.

Personality[]

Windlifter is a quiet "gentle giant" who only talks when he needs to.

Livery[]

Windlifter is painted almost entirely green, with a single bold white stripe that wraps around him and his external tank. Similar to Blade Ranger, Lil' Dipper, and Cabbie, he also sports the Piston Peak Air Attack logo on the right side of his fuselage and have his nose cowling painted black. Windlifter also shares the visual motifs of three white stripes (on his tailfin) and chevron patterns (on his rotor blades, which also doubles to mimics the design of a headdress) with his fellow firefighting aircraft. He have "Piston Peak" painted across his tail boom and his call sign number 33 on his external tank, where he store his fire retardant.

Occupation[]

Windlifter works as a firefighter in Piston Peak National Park and the second-in-command of the Air Attack team. He is both an air tanker and a heavy-lift helicopter, if needed to be.
